I went to see the new iPhone Duo today. I have been rather sceptical about the whole thing, but I assumed that once I held it in my hand, it would create the same kind of craving every other iPhone has.
When I first picked it up, it felt as if it might. I really liked the screen’s dimensions when closed. It felt new and fresh, different from the form factor Apple have played on repeat for so long. However, when trying to use it, I realised it’s way too wide to use comfortably with one hand while standing on the tube. And then, for the main trick, when opening the phone up to reveal the folded screen, the whole thing just felt like a slightly awkward iPad mini.
So no, iPhone Duo is not for me. I don’t get what it’s for. And at that price?
